Emilie Dequenne

 Emilie Dequenne, French pronunciation"emiliad@ken" was born on 29 August, 1981. She is a Belgian actress. Her first film role was the main character in the film Rosetta (1999) which was the film in which she was awarded the Cannes Film Festival Award to the Best Actress. Following that, she appeared in a variety of films which included The Light (2004) and The Girl on the Train (2009). She was also awarded the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress in 1999 for her debut film role in the Palme d'Or winning film Rosetta. Following her role in Brotherhood of the Wolf (a film that had an estimated budget of $29.9 million and made more than $70 million globally), Dequenne gained more recognition from the world's public. She played the lead role in the film of Andre Techine La Fille du RER with Catherine Deneuve. She was the main character in The Pack, a French thriller film The Pack. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2010. In 2012, she was awarded the Un Certain Regard Award as the Best Actress during the Cannes Film Festival 2012. In her role in Our Children, she received the Un Certain Regard Award. She was also nominated for the Satellite Award for Best Actress as well as the Magritte Award as Best Actress.
