Amy Adams

 American actress Amy Lou Adams was born August 20, 1974. She is well-known for her comedic and dramatic roles. She has been featured three times in the annual ranking of the top-paid actresses across the world. Her awards include two Golden Globe Awards and nominations for six Academy Awards and seven British Academy Film Awards. She made her film debut in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) in which she portrayed in a supporting role. She appeared in guest roles on television and took on "mean girl" parts in feature films with low budgets. Her first big role came in Steven Spielberg's biopic Catch Me If You Can (2002) however, she went unemployed for nearly a year afterward. Her breakout moment came when she played the role of a sexy pregnant woman in the comedy drama Junebug (2005), for which she won her first Academy Award nomination.
