In 1999, she received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She was a star in Lara Croft, Tomb Raider (2001) which was where she played the title character of the video game the heroine. Her career as an action star continued with Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) and Wanted (2008).
