Barbara Eden

 Barbara Eden (born Barbara Jean Morehead on August 23, 1931) is an American actress, performer, and producer most well-known for her lead role as Jeannie in the sitcom I Dream of Jeannie (1965-1970). Roslyn Pierce was Elvis Presley's sidekick Flaming Star (1960), Lieutenant JG Cathy Connors (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea - 1961) as well as Stella Johnson, a widowed mother in Harper Valley PTA (1978) are also notable roles. The film's popularity led to Eden returning to her role of Stella Johnson on Harper Valley PTA (1978). Eden was born on 23 August 1931, in Tucson, Arizona to Alice Mary Franklin and Hubert Henry Morehead. She is an ancestor of Benjamin Franklin. (For decades, her year of birth was believed to be 1934. After the divorce of her parents, she emigrated with her mother to San Francisco. Her mother married Harrison Connor Huffman (a telephone lineman), and they had a daughter. The Great Depression deeply affected the family and, since they could not pay for many of the luxury items, Alice entertained her children by singing.
