Benjamin Edward Meara Stiller, born November 30 1965, is an American actor, comedian, and filmmaker. He is the son and daughter of comedians and actors Jerry Stiller, Anne Meara. Stiller was a part of a group of comic actors colloquially known as the Frat Pack. His films have earned more than $2.6 billion across Canada and the United States, with an average of $79 million for each film. Throughout his career, he has received various honors and awards which include the Emmy Award, multiple MTV Movie Awards, an Emmy Award, a Britannia Award and a Teen Choice Award. Stiller started his acting career creating mockumentaries. He was later given a variety of sketches that he called The Ben Stiller Show. The series lasted 13 episodes and was written and hosted by Stiller. The show ran on MTV from 1990 to 1992, and earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Program. His television appearances included Friends, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Arrested Development.
