Bernie Taupin

 Bernard John Taupin, CBE, was born 22 May 1950. He is a famous English artist, songwriter, and artist. The long-term songwriting collaboration and partnership with Elton John is his most noteworthy achievement. Taupin composed the lyrics for the majority John's hits. In the year 1967, Taupin responded to an advertisement in New Musical Express by Liberty Records. John answered the same advertisement and the two have collaborated on numerous albums. John and Taupin were both inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame 1992. John was the son of Robert Taupin, and Daphne and Daphne, daughters of John Leonard Palchett Poppy Cort, who was a University of Cambridge classics instructor, and the former Rector of Sale, Greater Manchester (then also known as Cheshire).
