Trevor George Smith Jr. was born on May 20th the year 1972. He is a rapper and actor from the United States of America. Chuck D, a member of Public Enemy, gave him the nickname Busta Rhymes in honor of George "Buster", a wide receiver in the NFL and CFL. His work has garnered twelve Grammy Award nominations, making him among the top-nominated artist in the world, but he has never won. Busta Rhymes was a founding member of Leaders of the New School. The group gained national attention when they performed with Public Enemy. His appearance as a guest on "Scenario", A Tribe Called Quest's track, garnered his a lot of attention.
