Eric Dane

 Eric T. Melvin was born on November 9, 1972 and is an American actor. He was a TV actor, appearing in various roles including Jason Dean's regular role on Charmed is his most well-known. But, he's most well-known for his performance in the role of Dr. Mark Sloan in Grey's Anatomy's medical drama. He played the Captain Tom Chandler in The Last Ship which is a post-apocalyptic thriller. Cal Jacobs is his current character in the HBO series Euphoria. Dane was born to William Melvin, an interior architect father, and a mother who was a homemaker. His ancestry is comprised of English, German and Finnish roots. Dane's father was shot death at the age of 7 years old. age. Dane is the brother of a younger brother. They were raised in accordance with their mother's Jewish religion (Dane was an Bar Mitzvah). From 1987 until 1990, Dane attended Sequoia High School, Redwood City, California. He also was a student at San Mateo High School, San Mateo, California from 1990 until 1991. Dane was an athlete in high school, and was on the boys' varsity team for water soccer. Dane went on to pursue acting as a profession after being in a school production of Arthur Miller's All My Sons.
