 Eva de la Caridad Mendez, pronounced'mendez/ Spanish: ['eba De La Kari'dad Mendes]; born March 5, 1975, Eva Mendes is an American actress and model. In the latter half of the 1990s, her acting career began with roles in films like Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror (2000) and Urban Legends: Final Cut 2000 (2000). Her role in Training Day (2001), marked a turning point in the career of actress Eva Mendes and led to commercially successful roles in 2 Fast 2 Furious ((2003)) and Hitch ((2005). She starred in Ghost Rider (2007) and The Spirit (2008), both film adaptations of comics. She also went into more dramatic terrain with We Own the Night (2007), Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009), Last Night (2010) as well as The Place Beyond the Pines (2012). Other films she has appeared in include Out of Time (2003), The Women (2008), The Other Guys (2010) as well as Girl in Progress (2012).Mendes has been featured in a variety of music videos featuring artists such as Will Smith, and has also served as an ambassador for several brands that include Calvin Klein, Cartier, Reebok, Pantene shampoo, Morgan and Peek & Cloppenburg.
