Evander Holyfield (born October 19, 1962) is an American former professional boxer who was a champion between 1984 and 2011. In the 1980s, he held the title of undisputed champion in the cruiserweight division. He also held the title at the heavyweight division throughout the 1990s. He is often referred to as "the real Deal", Holyfield is the only four-time world heavyweight champion, holding the unification of WBA, WBC, and IBF titles from 1990 to 1992, the WBA and IBF titles again from 1993 to 1994, the WBA title a third time from 1996 until 1999; the IBF title for the third time from 1997 until 1999, and then the WBA title for a fourth time from 2000 to 2001.As an amateur, Holyfield represented the United States in the 1984 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal in the light heavyweight division. When he turned 21 He began professional fighting and was promoted into the cruiserweight division by the year 1985. He defeated Dwight Muhammad Qawi to win the WBA title. Holyfield defeated Ricky Parkey, Carlos de Lepn and win the WBC/IBF titles.
