Dame Helen Mirren DBE (born Helen Lydia Mironoff; born 26 July 1945) is an English actor. She has been awarded numerous awards and awards, she is the sole actor to be awarded the Triple Crown of Acting in both the United States and the United Kingdom. She was awarded an Academy Award and British Academy Film Award for her portrayal as the Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen. A Tony Award and an Laurence Olivier Award were also given for the role. In 1975 she made her West End stage debut. Her success in films and television was made possible by her appearance in films such as The Madness of King George (1994).
