James Hetfield

 American musician James Alan Hetfield was born August 3 of 1963. He is the lead singer of Metallica, a rhythm guitarist, co-founder and main songwriter of heavy metal band Metallica. His intricate rhythm playing is his forte. But, he also sings on his own and also leads guitar in live performances or in the studio. Hetfield co-founded Metallica in the fall of 1981 following an advertisement put out by drummer Lars Ulrich in the Los Angeles newspaper The Recycler. Metallica won nine Grammy Awards, and has released ten studio albums, three extended plays, as well as 24 singles.
