 Keanu Charles Reeves, /ki'a;nu(pronounced keeAH-noo) was born on September 2 1964 in Toronto. He is a Canadian actor. Reeves was born in Beirut and grew up in Toronto. He began his acting career in theatre productions prior to becoming a television actor. His debut in feature films was made in Youngblood (1986). The role that he made his debut was in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989), which he would reprise in subsequent films. He was praised for his role as an hustler in the drama of an independent production My Own Private Idaho (1991) and established himself as an action-hero through leading parts in Point Break (1991) and Speed (1994).Following numerous box office disappointments, his performance in the film of horror The Devil's Advocate (1997) was well received. The film was most well-known for his performance as Neo in the Matrix's science fiction show which began in 1999. He played John Constantine in Constantine (2006) and The Lake House (2006). He also starred in The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008).
