Kelly Clarkson

 Kelly Brianne Clarkson (born April 24 in 1982) is an American singer, songwriter, author, and television presenter. She became famous when she won the first season of American Idol in 2002, which led to her signing a recording deal with RCA. Her first single "A Moment Like This" was a top hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was the most-sold country single in 2002. It was released as part of her debut album Thankful (2003) which debuted on the top spot of the Billboard 200. Clarkson made a decision to reinvent herself and left Idol management to concentrate on pop rock for Breakaway (2004). It was accompanied by four US top ten singles - including the title song, "Since U Been Gone", "Behind These Hazel Eyes" and "Because of You" - Breakaway sold over 12 million copies across the globe and was awarded two Grammy Awards.Clarkson took further creative control on the third album of her studio, My December (2007), co-writing all of its tracks , and later becoming the album's executive producer. However, her label was unhappy with the album's dark rock music and promoted it reluctantly.
