Laura Leggett Linney, born 5 February 1964 was an American actress. She has won many awards, which include four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. She was born February 5, 1964. On TV, she received her first Emmy Award for the television film Wild Iris (2001), and later won Emmy Awards on the sitcom Frasier (2003-04) and the miniseries John Adams (2008). She starred from 2010 to 2013 in The Big C on Showtime and won an additional Emmy for that show in 2013. From 2017 until 2022, she was the main character on Ozark the Netflix crime series. Linney is also regarded as a well-known film actress. Her debut film was Lorenzo's Oil (1992) in which she played a small role. She went on to receive Academy Award nominations, for The Savages (2007), Kinsey (2004) and You Can Count on Me (2000).
