He is an actor and producer from the United American. He is known for his role as a leading actor in period films and biopics and period films, he has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award and three Golden Globe Awards. As of 2019, his films have grossed over $7.2 billion across the globe and he's repeatedly ranked in the annual ranking of the top-paid actors.Born in Los Angeles, DiCaprio began his career in the mid 1980s when he appeared in TV commercials. In the early 1990s, he was a regular on roles in various television programs, including the sitcom Parenthood and also had his first big film role as the author Tobias Wolff in This Boy's Life (1993). He was just 19 when he was awarded the attention of critics for his portrayal of a boy who had a developmental disability in the film What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993).
