Nicholas Scott Cannon (born October 8th in 1980) is an American television host, actor, rapper, and comedian. Cannon started his television career as a teenager with All That. He then became the host of the show The Nick Cannon Show and Wild 'n out, America's Got Talent, Lip Sync Battle Shorties and The Masked Singer. He was in the movies Drumline and Love Don't Cost a thing, and Roll Bounce.As a rapper he released his debut self-titled album in 2003 featuring the hit single "Gigolo", a collaboration with singer R. Kelly. He played the role in the movie Goal II: Living the Dream of TJ Harper who was a fictional footballer. Cannon recorded "Dime Piece" in 2006, and "My Wife" on the album Stages. This album was never released. Cannon was raised mostly by his paternal grandfather, who Cannon and his father were known as "dad". As a youngster, Cannon grew up in Lincoln Park's Bay Vista Housing Projects, which is a gang-ridden section of Southeast San Diego.
