Paul McCartney

 Sir James Paul McCartney CH MBE was born on 18 June 1942. He is an English musician, singer and songwriter. One of the most successful composers and performers of all time, McCartney is known for his lyrical approach to bass playing as well as his tenor's versatility and broad vocal range, as well as his musical eclecticism, exploring styles that range from pre-rock and roll pop to electronica and classical. The songwriting partnership he formed with Lennon remains one of the most popular in history.Born in Liverpool, McCartney taught himself guitar, piano and songwriting as a teenager, having been inspired by his father, a jazz player, and rock and roll performers like Little Richard and Buddy Holly. His career began when he joined Lennon's skiff group, the Quarrymen in 1957, which evolved into the Beatles in the year 1960. The group was often referred to "the adorable Beatle", McCartney later became involved in the London avant-garde movement and led the incorporation of experimental aesthetics into Beatles' studio productions.
