Paula Maxine Patton, born on December 5, 1975, is an American actress. Patton's debut in feature films was in 2005's comedy Hitch. She has since had roles in the movies Deja Vu (2006) and Precious (2008). She provided the female vocal counterpart on the song "Can U Handle It?" Robin Thicke co-wrote the song, which Patton would later marry. She is credited with songwriting for several Robin Thicke albums under her name "Max", which is her middle name (Maxine). Patton made her debut in film with tiny roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Hitch together with Will Smith. She was also in London, a drama film. She was part of OutKast's 2006 musical Idlewild which was written by and directed Bryan Barber.
