Raquel Welch

Jo Raquel Welch (nye Tejada 5 September 1940) was an American actress from the United States. Her fame first came about for her performance in Fantastic Voyage (1966), and later she was offered a contract from 20th Century Fox. They gave the contract to Hammer Film Productions in Britain and she was also featured in One Million Years B.C. (1966). She was able to use three lines of dialogue in the film. But, her pictures in bikinis with her doe-skin were the most popular posters, and she became an international icon of sexual sex. In later years, she was in Bedazzled (1967) and Bandolero! (1968), 100 Riffles (1969), Myra Breckinridge (70), as well as Hannie Caulder (71). Welch was the star of numerous variety shows on television. Her performance of powerful female characters allowed her to break out of the mold of the sex icon that was a norm. Hollywood's constant promotion of blonde bombshells was largely the reason for her popularity in the mid-1960s. In recognition of her performance in The Three Musketeers, she was awarded the 1974 Golden Globe Award as Best Motion Picture Actress in Musical or Comedy.
