Selena Marie Gomez, /s@'li?n@ /goUmez/s@-LEEn@ GoHmez; born July 22, 1993) is an American performer, actress, and producer of films. Gomez started her acting career with the television show for children called Barney & Friends (2002-2004). She rose to fame as Alex Russo, a teenage star in the Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-12). As well as her television work, Gomez appeared in the films Another Cinderella Story (2008), Princess Protection Program (2009), Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2009), Ramona and Beezus (2010), Monte Carlo (2011), Spring Breakers (2012), Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016), The Dead Don't Die (2019) and A Rainy Day in New York (2019). Her credits as a voice actor include the role of Mavis in Hotel Transylvania (2012-2022), 13 Reasons Why (2017-202020), and the role of a woman living Undocumented (2018).
