Alice Gainer, born July 3, 1982, is an American reporter and anchor for the WCBS-TV channel in New York. Gainer was previously employed by WNYW Fox 5 New York, and was an anchor/reporter at News 12 New Jersey for eight years. She also has a role on News 12 Westchester and Fox News Channel. Gainer graduated in 2004 from Fordham University with a Communications TV Radio degree, as well as an undergraduate degree in business administration. While at Fordham she was an anchor for WFUV which was the university's NPR affiliated radio station and won a Gracie Award in the category "Individual Achievement for the Best Anchor (Radio)". She also worked as anchor on the school's television station. After graduation, Gainer was employed by NPR affiliate WBGO radio and also for MetroNetworks WOR, WABC, and Air America Satellite Radio.Gainer has been awarded eight NY Emmy Awards for "Breaking/Spot News", "Crime News" and "Entertainment News" in addition to other categories. She's been nominated more than a dozen times times in the categories "LIVEreporter", "Spot News", "Entertainment News", "Crime News" and "Health/Science". She was just 25 years old and was a reporter on TV for only two years.
