She covered the American economy, and also the interplay between politics and business as well as new technologies. Wagner was the White House Correspondent for Politics Daily prior to this and was a reporter covering domestic and international affairs that ranged from to the BP Oil Spill through the Egyptian Revolution. Wagner was the executive director of Not On Our Watch, the non-profit that promotes advocacy and grants established by the actor George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and Don Cheadle (2007-09). Wagner traveled to troubled regions including Burma and Sudan in order to prevent and stop mass atrocities. She served as editor-in chief for The Fader, a magazine that covered cultural movements from Brazil, China, and South Africa, (2004-2007).
