Cross attended Marlborough High School which she was a part of school activities and even became the school's mascot for football matches, the Panther. In order to earn a little extra money, she worked part-time at Dunkin Donuts. She also was a part of the drama program at Marlborough High School. A high school trip in New York City to see plays and live the city's life was a catalyst for Cross to pursue acting as a profession. In the summer of 2007, she was accepted into a Tufts University drama program and was part of several productions at school, like "The witch of the"Blackbird Pond". Cross was always interested in the performing arts and performance. She took dancing lessons at Ceil Sharon School of Dance.
