American ex-professional basketball player Allen Ezail Iverson (/’aIv@rs@n/ born on June 7 1975) was born. He played 14 seasons at the shooting guard and point guard positions within the National Basketball Association (NBA). Iverson was the 1997 NBA Rookie of the Year Award winner. He was also an 11-time NBA All-Star, the MVP award for 2005 and 2001, and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2001. He was admitted to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016. In October 2021, Iverson was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. Iverson is frequently regarded as one of the top scorers and among the most influential players in NBA history.Iverson was a student at Bethel High School in Hampton, Virginia, and was an athlete who played two sports. He was recognized with the Associated Press High School Player Award for football and basketball as well as the Division 5 AAA Virginia State Championship in both sports.
