Walter Bruce Willis, born on March 19, 1955, is an American actor. His acting career started in the 1970s on Broadway's Off-Broadway stage. Willis was in a variety of low-budget direct-to-video films in his later years. The films were not popular with audiences. Willis's family announced his retirement in the month of March 2022 following his diagnosis with Aphasia. This condition impairs his ability to comprehend language. Willis's first album, The Return of Bruno in 1987 and was followed by three albums in 2001, 1989, and 2002. In 2015 Willis made his Broadway debut in the stage version of Misery. Willis has been awarded numerous honors throughout his career.
