American actress Christina Ricci (/'ri/tSi/ REEchee born on February 12 in 1981.) Ricci is famous for her unique roles that have dark and sombre edges. She is a primarily independent producer, but she also appears in a variety of box office hit. Her subsequent roles in Casper as well as Now and Then (1995) made her a "teen idol". As she turned 17, she shifted to roles that were more adult-oriented in The Ice Storm (1997), which led to parts in films like Buffalo '66 as well as Pecker (both 1998). Her performances in The Opposite of Sex (1998), Sleepy Hollow (1999) and Monster (2003) brought her recognition.
