Courteney Bass Cox (previously Courteney Cox Arquette; born on June 15 1964) is an American actor and film maker. Her leading role on the sitcom Friends (1994-2004) earned her international recognition. She was nominated for seven Screen Actors Guild Awards. One of which she won. Gale Weathers, the horror film franchise Scream (1996-1999), was awarded another prize for her performance. She also starred in Family Ties (1987-1989), Lucy Spiller (1907-2008) and Jules Cobb (2009-2015) on ABC/TBS.
