Crystal Bernard

 Crystal Lynn Bernard (born September 30 31st, 1961) is an American singer-songwriter and actress, most well-known for her performances as Helen Chappel-Hackett from the sitcom Wings (1990-1997), Amy on It's a Living (1985-1989) and K.C. Cunningham in Happy Days (1983-1984).Bernard was born in Garland, Texas, to Southern Baptists. Her father, Jerry Wayne Bernard, was a televangelist who travelled across the United States singing and preaching. Gaylon Bernard (nee Fussell), Bernard was her mother. She was an educator however, in the 1980s she became an artist and sculpture. Bernard began singing gospel songs with Robyn who was an actress. One recording of the two that survived from that time is the song "The Monkey Song", from Feudin' Fussin' and Frettin' . It was recorded at the age of eight. Crystal was just eight years old. trained in acting at Alley Theatre while growing up in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Spring High School, and she continued her education at Baylor University where she studied acting as well as international relations.
