George Strait

 George Harvey Strait Sr. was born on May 18th, 1952. He is an American musician, singer and actor. Strait is frequently called the "King of Country", and is well-known as a singer and songwriter, actor and music producer from the United America. The first single he released, "Unwound", was released in 1981. It was the first single to be released that marked the rise to mainstream popularity of the neotraditional sound. The 1980s saw seven albums from Strait topped the charts for country music. Strait was awarded his first Grammy for his album Troubadour in 2000. He was also named Artist of the Decade at the Academy of Country Music and was inducted to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Strait was named the CMA Entertainer of the Year in 1989 in 1990, 1993, and 2013.
