Laura Prepon

 Laura Helene Prepon (born on March 7, 1980) is an American actress from the United States. Her character as Donna Pinciotti on Fox's sitcom That 70s Show (1998–2006) was her greatest success. Also, she is well-known for her character Alex Vause on the Netflix comedy-drama Orange Is the New Black (2013-19). Prepon made her film debut in 2001, with the drama series that was created by an independent company Southlander. Prepon was born in Watchung (New Jersey). She is the youngest child of Marjorie (nee Coll), an educator at a high school and a gourmet chef at home Michael Prepon an orthopedic surgeon. Prepon's father died after undergoing a heart procedure in 1993 at the age of 49. She was just 13 when she died. She attended Watchung Hills Regional High School after which she enrolled at the Total Theatre Lab in New York City. Her father was Jewish with Russian Jewish descent, and her mother is of Irish Catholic ancestry. Her maternal great-great-great-grandfather was Union Army General Joseph Bradford Carr.
