Morgan Freeman

 Morgan Freeman, born June 1st, 1937, is an American actor and director. His distinctive voice and many roles in various film genres are what make him unique. His work spans more than 50 years and has earned numerous awards, including the Academy Award. Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe Award. He studied theatre arts in Los Angeles and appeared in stage productions in his early career. The actor gained notoriety in the 1970s due to his role in the children's television series The Electric Company. Freeman was later seen in the Shakespearean productions Coriolanus and Julius Caesar, the former of which earned him an Obie Award. Street Smart (1987), where he played a hustler, was his breakout role. He received an Academy Award nomination as Best Supporting actor. He was a star in Glory (1989) and the biographical drama Lean on Me (1989), and comedy-drama Driving Miss Daisy (1989) in which the latter brought him his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
