Nicholas Scott Cannon (born October 8th August, 1980) is an American television host, actor, rapper, and comedian. On television, Cannon began as a teenager on All That before moving to host the Nick Cannon Show, Wild 'n Out America's Got Talent, Lip Sync Battle Shorties, and The Masked Singer. Cannon was in the movies Drumline, Love Don't Cost a Thing as well as Roll Bounce. As a rapper he released his debut album self-titled in 2003 with the single "Gigolo" which was a collaboration with the singer R. Kelly. He was a character in the film Goal II: Living the Dream of TJ Harper who was an imaginary football player. In the year 2006, Cannon recorded the singles "Dime Piece" and "My Wife" for the planned album Stages but it was never released.Cannon was born on October 8, 1980 in San Diego, California. Cannon was raised mostly by his paternal grandfather , whom was his biological father, who he used to call "dad". As a child, Cannon grew up in Lincoln Park's Bay Vista Housing Projects, that is a notorious gang-fest area of Southeast San Diego. Cannon was a part of the "Lincoln Park Bloods street band" when he was in his teens However, he said that he had lost a close friend, and decided to leave his affiliations.
