Paula Maxine Patton, born on December 5, 1975, is an American actress. Patton's feature film debut was in the comedy film Hitch. Since then, she's been in roles in films DyjA Vu (2006) and Precious (2008). She was the female vocal accompaniment to the song "Can U Handle It?" that was written by Robin Thicke, whom she would later get married to. [8] Patton has been credited as a songwriter on several Robin Thicke albums, and under the moniker "Max", which was her middle name (Maxine). Patton's first film role was a small role in 2005 romantic comedy Hitch alongside Will Smith. The same year, she made her debut by playing a minor role in the drama film London. In 2006, she starred with fellow OutKast group members Andre Benjamin and Big Boi in the musical film Idlewild written and directed by Bryan Barber.
