Sherry Jackson

 Sherry D. Jackson was born February 15th, 1942. She is an American actress as well as a former child star and a retired actress. According to the LA Times, Jackson was born in Wendell (or Maurita) Kathleen Gilbert and Curtis Loys Jackson Sr. on February 15, 1942. Her mother taught her dancing, singing, and acting to her brothers Curtis L. Jackson Jr. and Gary L. Jackson. Maurita's husband passed away in 1948. [citation requiredThe following year, Maurita as well as her family relocated from Wendell, Idaho to Los Angeles. A driver on a tour bus who they encountered in Los Angeles referred her to an agent for the stage. Another source says that she was introduced to her by a friend who had seen Sherry eating ice cream on the Sunset Strip. It could be apocryphal however, Sherry was recommended by an agent's friend who witnessed Sherry eating ice cream on the Sunset Strip in less than one year. Sherry also appeared in The Snake Pit with Olivia de Havilland at the age of seven. Her first film in the feature genre, the 1949 musical You're My Everything starring Anne Baxter and Dan Dailey was her first film.
