Sofia Vergara

 Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara (Spanish: [so'fi.a ber'gara]; born July 10, 1972) is a Colombian and American model and actress. She was the highest paid actress in American television from 2013 to 2020.Vergara gained notoriety when hosting two TV shows for Spanish-language television network Univision in the late 1990s. Her first significant acting gig in English was in the movie Chasing Papi (2003). She subsequently appeared in Four Brothers (2005) and Tyler Perry's comedy films Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009) which earned her an ALMA Award nomination for the second. Her first role was as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in ABC's comedy series Modern Family in 2009. In the role she was awarded four Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards. Her voice-over roles included Happy Feet Two (2011) and Escape from Planet Earth (2013).
