 Taraji Penda Henson, /t@'ra/dZi/t@-RAH/jee was born September 11 the 11th of September, 1970. She is an American actress. After completing her studies in acting at Howard University, she began her Hollywood career as a guest actor on various television shows. She made her acting debut in Baby Boy (2001). She played a prostitute in Hustle & Flow (2005), for which she received a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by the Cast in a Motion Picture nomination.
