Ally Sheedy is an American actor and writer who has a net worth of $4.4 million. Sheedy has built up her wealth by performing on stage, as well as in film and television projects, as well as being the author of the novels "She Was Nice to Mice" (1975) and "Yesterday I Saw the Sun: Poems" (1991). Ally became famous as a naughty teenager who, along with Matthew Broderick, nearly triggered World War III in "WarGames." (1983). She was also a star in two other notable performances in "WarGames" (1983), as a misfit who spends one day in detention John Hughes' classic "The Breakfast Club" and in the role of a fierce Gen Xer in "St. Elmo’s Fire," an edgy post-college comedy. The three blockbuster films earned Sheedy, among other things being a member of the so-called "Brat Pack,"" an exclusive group made up of wealthy, young and famous actors like Emilio Estevez, Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, and Rob Lowe, in the 1980s.However, just as her career peaked in the 1980s, it almost disappeared into obscurity the following decade. After a brief period of the dearth of second-rate movies and TV shows Sheedy started to shine brightly in the Hollywood sky once again with her award-winning portrayal of heroin addict as well as photographer Lucy Berliner in the independent movie "High art" (1998).
