 Garena, a Singaporean producer and publisher of free online games announced in December 2011 that they were collaborating with online game creator Changyou to release and run Duke of Mount Deer in Taiwan. It was the debut Garena+ MMORPG. It combines an old Chinese story with the latest 3D rendering technology and stunning quality cinematic graphics. Duke of Mount Deer was designed by top online-gaming experts who hail from China and South Korea and has gained significant popular throughout China. In the same month, there was the "Dominion" game mode was released for Garena's League of Legends players in Singapore and Malaysia.In October of 2017, Sea Limited filed for an initial public offer on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) which aimed at raising USD$1 billion. Tencent was the largest shareholder, holding around 20% of the outstanding Sea Limited shares Sea Limited before the IPO and is currently holding 18.7%, was the biggest shareholder. This was followed by Blue Dolphins Venture, established by Forrest Li, for 15 percent. Li personally owned 20 percent shares, while the company's Chief Technology Officer Gang Ye, 10%.Garena+ is a game on the internet and a social platform with an interface that is similar to instant messaging platforms. Garena+ lets gamers create buddy lists, communicate with friends on the internet, and track game achievements.
