Elvis Presley

Elvis Aaron Presley was an American musician and singer. He was born on January 8th, 1935 until August 16, 1977. Presley is considered to be one of the most significant iconic cultural figures of the 20th century. Presley was born in Tupelo Mississippi and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee with his family when he was 13 years old. Presley began his career in music in 1954, when he began recording at Sun Records with Sam Phillips, who was keen for to allow the African American sound to be appreciated by a larger audience. Presley together with Scotty Moore, guitarist, as well as Bill Black, was a pioneer in the genre of rockabilly. The upbeat backbeat-driven fusion of country music , rhythm and blues was referred to as rockabilly. D.J. was the drummer in the year 1955. Fontana was included in Presley's legendary quartet. RCA Victor bought his contract in a deal that was negotiated and signed by Colonel Tom Parker. Parker would oversee Presley for more than two decades. Presley's debut RCA smash, "Heartbreak Hotel", was released in the month of January. The song was a massive success in the United States and was the top-rated record. Presley gained acclaim with an array of chart-topping albums and a string of successful TV appearances on television networks. His lively interpretations of songs and his provocative performances made him popular, as did his distinctive mix of influences that crossed the color spectrum, which was in line with the emergence of the Civil Rights Movement.
