Bellamy Young

 Bellamy Young (born Amy Maria Young born on February 19, 1970) is an American actor, producer and singer, best known for her performance as Melody "Mellie" Grant in the ABC drama series Scandal (2012-2018). In 2014, in recognition of her portrayal of Mellie, Young won the Critics' Choice Television Award for the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Young also appeared in the Fox series Prodigal Son (2019-2021). Young began her career in the theatre. In 1997 she made her Broadway debut as Mary in the original cast of The Life. Young also made her Broadway debut as Mary in the initial cast of The Life. In 1997 and 1998, she appeared as a guest in two roles on Law & Order. In 1999, she made her film debut by playing an uncredited role in the crime drama Black and White and later co-starred in several independent films.
