Carmelo Anthony

 Carmelo Kyam Anthony, born May 29, 1984 was an American professional basketball player. He was last with the Los Angeles Lakers (National Basketball Association) in the year 1985. He was named an NBA All-Star ten years ago and was an All-NBA Team player six times more. As a basketball player in the NCAA tournament at Syracuse Orange, he won the national championship in 2003, as freshman, and was awarded the NCAA Tournament's best player. He was selected to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2022. He is widely considered to be one of the top scorers in NBA the history of the NBA. Anthony was the third overall selection of the Denver Nuggets' 2003 NBA draft. He was a player for Denver and was the team's leader, leading the Nuggets to the playoffs each season from 2004 until the year 2010. The team was awarded two division titles during this period. Anthony was the team's leader in the team to the Nuggets to their first appearance in the Conference Finals since 1985. Anthony was traded to the New York Knicks from Denver in the year 2011, just days prior to the NBA deadline for trades. Anthony scored a record-breaking of 62 points during an exhibition match against the Charlotte Bobcats on January 24 in 2014. It was an Knicks single-game scoring record and the Madison Square Garden single day scoring record. Anthony was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder where he played for a year prior to becoming a member of the Houston Rockets. Prior to becoming a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, he played two seasons for the Portland Trail Blazers.
