Kevin Gates

 Kevin Jerome Gilyard, born on February 5, 1986, is better called Kevin Gates, an American musician, entrepreneur, and rapper. He is currently associated with the Bread Winners' Association through a collaboration with Atlantic Records. The first album of his studio, Islah was released in January of 2016. It reached the top spot at 2 on the US Billboard 200 charts. Prior to Islah, Gates had released several mixtapes, including Stranger Than Fiction and By Any Means. Each of them ranked in the top 40 on the Billboard 200 charts. Kevin Jerome Gilyard was born to an Puerto Rican father and an African American mother on February 5th in 1986. After the move to New Orleans, Louisiana with his family, he moved to Baton Rouge. Gates was a troubled youngster and was caught in 1999 after being in a stolen vehicle as an innocent passenger. While he lost contact with his father at a young age but he was able to reconnect with his father later in his teens. Gates was then 14 years old. He passed away from complications of AIDS following the passing of his father. in death. Gates attended Baton Rouge Community College briefly at the age of 17 years old.
