Kyra Sedgwick

 Kyra Minturn, born on August 19, 1965, [3] in the United States, is an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. Her role as the main character in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. Following the seventh season, Sedgwick was nominated to win the Golden Globe Award in 2007 and was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010. Sedgwick is also famous for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She was nominated for the Golden Globe for her performance on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (933) and Phenomenon (1996). She is also the descendant of Judge Theodore Sedgwick and Endicott Peabody, who established the Groton School, William Ellery, Samuel Appleton and John Lathrop from Boston.
