Lindsay Dee Lohan, /'loU.@n/LOH-@n[aborn July 2 in 1986), is an American actress and singer. Lohan was born in New York City, and grew up in Long Island. She was signed to Ford Models when she was three years old. Her breakthrough came from Walt Disney Pictures' 1998 film The Parent Trap. The film's success led to appearances in television shows Life-Size (2000) and Get a Clue (2002) and also the big-screen adaptations Freaky Friday (2003) and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004). The early work of Lohan earned her childhood stardom, while the teen comedy sleeper hit Mean Girls (2004) affirmed her status as a teenage idol and established her as a Hollywood leading actress.Lohan was dubbed an undisputed triple threat following her signing with Casablanca Records and releasing two studio albums, platinum-certified Speak (2004) and the gold-certified A Little More Personal (Raw) (2005). Herbie: Fully Loaded (2006) and Just My Luck (2006) were also her roles.
