Martha-Higareda

 Higareda was the daughter of Jose Luis Higareda and actress Miriam Higareda. She was born in Villahermosa Tabasco, Mexico. She began performing on the stage at a very early age, and also dancing jazz, flamenco and tap, as well as folklore. At the age of 14 she moved to Mexico City from her native Tabasco to pursue a career in acting. Her first stage appearance was acting in several plays which included "Little Women" and "Don Juan. She was an advanced college student and began College when she was 15 years old. She was a student of Communication at El Tecnologico de Monterrey. The first thing in the morning, she'd attend college, and at night she attended acting school. She also appeared in the theater during weekends. A year later her mother and sister moved to Mexico City and attended acting school together with her. She had her first TV debut as anchor hostess in Disney Channel's Zapping Zone.Alfonso Cuaron visited Mexico City auditioning for Y Tu Mama Tambien, Martha was chosen to play Cecilia Huerta, Gael Garcia's girlfriend in the film but being underage and due to the nakedness in the movie she was unable to do the role.
