John Michael "Ozzy," Osbourne was born on December 3, 1948. Osbourne is an English musician, singer and TV personality. Osbourne gained fame in the 1970s due to his vocal lead in the Black Sabbath's heavy metal band. Osbourne was fired by the band for drinking and drug problems. But, Osbourne went on to enjoy a successful solo career. The singer recorded 13 studio albums and seven of them were multi-platinum in the United States. Osbourne has been reunited with Black Sabbath several times since. Osbourne reunited with Black Sabbath in the year 1997, and was a part of the recording process for 13 (2013). The band was then on a final tour that ended in February of 2017. The band's longevity and success earned him the informal name of "Godfather of Metal". He was honored with stars on the Birmingham Walk of Stars and Hollywood Walk of Fame.
