James Michael Anderson OBE, born on July 30, 1982 James Michael Anderson OBE, born 30 July 1982, is an English international cricketer. He is a member of the Lancashire County Cricket Club as well as England. Anderson is also a part-time cricket commentator for the BBC. Anderson is the fastest wicket taker in Test cricket. Anderson is also the only fast-bowler that has taken at least 600 Test wickets. Anderson also holds the record for taking the most wickets of an England player in One-Day International cricket (ODI). He played his 174th appearance in a Test match for England and was the most played player in England cricket. Anderson has played more than 200 One-Day Internationals.
